Another Subcontinent Presents: Two Translations by Moazzam Sheikh Another Subcontinent continues our translation series with translations from Punjabi by Moazzam Sheikh of stories by contemporary Pakistani writers, Nadir Ali and Zubair Ahmed. These translations will be the featured presentations on the site till June 4, 2007. These stories take the number of South Asian languages from which we have presented translations to three: Hindi, Urdu, and now Punjabi (see the archive of written features for links to the others). We expect to publish translations from other South Asian languages as well in the near future, and invite translators working in other languages (or these for that matter) to contact us for possible publication. We would be particularly interested in translations from languages less prominently featured in English translation. We also invite original writing in South Asian languages other than English. Please see our Submissions page for details. About Nadir Ali and Zubair Ahmed
