Since I had my son, I have become very particular about traditions being maintained. Our house is cleaned, I do a rangoli (last year he helped me) and make snax and sweets like I have seen three generations in my family do.

This year I want to try out traditional recipes from all over India (or at least a few.) I would like help deciding these. I thought it would be great if we could compile some traditional recipes here in any which case, for the fun of comparing notes...

For Gujerat I am thinking Mondhaal,
