About Soniah Kamal

Soniah Kamal was born in Karachi, Pakistan. She has been a nomad since she was 6 months old, living in England, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and all over the United States. She currently lives in Northern California with her husband, son, daughter and cat.

Soniah's short fiction has been published in a number of venues. Recently her story "Papa's Girl" was included in the anthology A Letter from India: Contemporary Short Stories from Pakistan, edited by Moazzam Sheikh and published by Penguin India. Her first novel, An Isolated Incident, published by Penguin USA will be available in Fall, 2005.
